Tasting Notes

Syrah characteristic hue and aroma drives the spice through the first phase while tasting this wine. The elegant grenache adds a depth of red berry and hyacinth floral flavors. Zinfandel's quintessential briary blackberry essence delivers a deep mouthfeel and extends the finish.

Production Notes

This is all about the blend! Syrah dominant but the grenache tames the dark black fruit and zinfandel builds upon their foundation.

Winemaker Notes

This is possibly the most bold wine I make as far as depth, complexity and integration of fruit, spice and mouthfeel. A cerebral wine that demands focus and concentration to comprehend.

Cooperage Notes

Aged 40 months in barrel. 20% new American oak, 10% new French oak
