Carter Lindstrom-Dake, son of Founders Scott and Erica Lindstrom-Dake, is excited to be involved again in the family business. After working at the winery fresh out of high school, Carter took the opportunity to explore other industries, eventually falling into carpentry and construction. Finding a passion for building, in 2020 Carter helped design and build the Lounge remodel. He also designed and built his own tiny house, where he and his long-time partner Hannah currently reside. After establishing himself in the construction field, working as the Operations Manager for a custom cabinetry company, Carter felt it was time to move on to something in which he could help make a meaningful impact while also seeing personal growth. “I found that working in construction was beginning to take a toll. Working as an Op Manager meant that I was responsible for ensuring our company ran smoothly, a difficult task made almost impossible at the height of a global pandemic,” Carter reflects. “I was in a position where I could make a change and wanted to capitalize on how that change might affect my lifestyle. Working in the wine industry would allow me to spend much more time with Hannah, which was important to us.”
Hannah has been a cherished part of the Lindstrom-Dake family for over ten years, and she has worked for thumbprint in different capacities for over three years. Her title as Logistics Director, internally dubbed “the Brains of the Lounge,” is a beyond suitable role for her many talents. With a degree in Marketing and Merchandising, combined with her detail-oriented personality, she helps keep the thumbprint team up to date and ensures your wines ship out in a timely fashion. Hannah muses, “it’s been much fun stepping into this role, especially seeing all the progress made this year with our hard work!” On the rare occasion Hannah is not at the Lounge, you can find her at home snuggling with their dog, Hazel on the couch.”
Having been adopted when she was just a pup, Hazel has been a beloved part of Hannah and Carter’s lives for over four years. We didn’t realize a need for a ‘Tasting Room Mascot,’ but customers and passersby have warmly received Hazel’s presence in the Lounge. Those who are lucky enough to make her acquaintance will come to understand that she’s easily bribed with treats and will perform a variety of tricks when correctly prompted. When she isn’t napping in front of a foot heater, you can find Hazel sniffing for any forgotten crumbs or seated beside our front door, eager to greet those who wander in.
